How to Add a Category to Your Blog

  • Log into your website.
  • From the left side of your Dashboard click on ‘posts’ and select ‘add new’.
  • In the right hand column you will see “Categories”.
  • At the bottom of the Categories section you will see “+Add New Category”.
  • Click on “+Add New Category”.
  • In the box that comes up, type in the name of your new category.
  • If you wish this new category to be a sub-category of one that you already have there, click on the arrow beside “Parent Category”.
  • Select the Parent Category (if appropriate).
  • Click on “Add New Category.
